Heading: Current projects
Since 1990, Dr. Green has been engaged in projects designed to create work and working conditions conducive to full employment of an intergenerational workforce. A few examples of aging workforce projects, dating from 1990 to 2008, include:
  • Created and facilitated a change management strategy in conjunction with a NASA knowledge management system designed to foster a learning culture, speed the innovation cycle, and stem the impact of a brain drain as engineers retire.

  • Facilitated a workshop for employers to promote the use of flexible workplace practices within the retail industry for AARP and Sloan Foundation grant in seven sites within the U.S.

  • Designed and facilitated four employer workshops, at various U.S. sites, to promote workforce planning and the recruitment and retention of the 50+ worker for a joint U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AARP project.

  • Facilitated a panel discussion of employer best practices for recruitment and retention of older workers at annual DOL workforce development conference.

  • Evaluated the training efficacy of a local Senior Community Service Employment Program for a federal government agency.

  • Researched U.S. best practices, from recruitment through separation, for older workers for a series of “How to” publications for the U.N. International Labour Office.

  • Researched U.S. workforce and government policies affecting the older worker, with special attention to older women, for a U.N. International Labour Office publication.

  • Researched leadership and change management strategies of older volunteers aged 55+ to lead change in volunteer settings.
