Heading: Meeting facilitation
Dr. Green conducts meeting, group, and retreat facilitation for executives, teams, work groups, and professional groups. Her goal is to provide the meeting structure, analytic and electronic tools, and collaborative group processes to meet a range of client outcomes and goals: teambuilding, visioning and strategic planning, creativity and innovation, annual retreats, and a variety of group brainstorming and decision-making activities.

Dr. Green develops working partnerships with clients and uses clear methods and appropriate structures to create the highest degree of collaboration within a productive, inclusive, and respectful environment. Her broad working knowledge of participatory processes, group dynamics, and conflict management ensures client outcomes are met in a professional and neutral manner.

Box: Effective facilitation

Meeting and retreat facilitation involves working closely with the client to achieve high levels of participation and ensure people’s time and energy is used purposefully towards a common goal. In her work, Dr. Green helps the client:
  • Clarify goals, purpose, and expected outcomes of the meeting
  • Clarify agenda and group activities that support getting to the outcome
  • Match facilitation activities with specific outcomes (decision-making, information, analysis)
  • Facilitate the meeting to avoid derailing conversations, manage conflict, and ensure full participation
  • Capture key information—ideas as well as decisions—that emerge from the gathering
  • Ensure follow-up to key decisions
  • Conduct meeting evaluation to determine effectiveness of the meeting design in achieving the group’s goals
